It’s that time of year again: Nameberry is releasing their mid-year top baby names of 2020 — and two celebrity household names seem to be holding a lot of influence over the next generation.
On the list of 10 most popular names are Milo and Luna — which also happen to be Chrissy Teigen and John Legend‘s kiddos names: Miles Theodore, 2, and Luna Simone, 4. “Miles” clocks in on the list in the top 100 names, too while Theodore is also in the top 10.
Other names in the top 10 for girls are Ophelia, Eleanor, Ava and Aurora, while the boys’ list includes Asher, Levi, Silas and Atticus.
Nameberry also reveals the “hottest” names of the year so far for both boys and girls, like Nova, Phoenix, Hugo, Cordelia, Anastasia, Rowan and Kai.
Teigen, 34, and Legend, 41, have opened up in the past regarding their thoughts in naming both of their kiddos.
In December 2017, the then-pregnant Teigen revealed insight into the process of choosing a name for her second child — revealing how both she and Legend, were looking into unisex baby names, despite it not going well at the time.
“Jesus Christ my baby will have no name,” she jested while sharing a photo list of names like Ash, Aspen, Basil, Bay, Berry, Blaze, Brook/Brooke and Cedar.
Legend explained after the birth of his son the following May, “We named our first daughter Luna Simone Stephens; every name we give to our kids I think will have a little bit of musical history to it. So Miles is, of course, the same name as the great Miles Davis.”
