Update: Jason Kelce has issued an apology following the event that took place at the Penn State game on Nov. 2.
“I’m not happy with anything that took place. I’m not proud of it. In a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate, and I don’t think that’s a productive thing. In that moment, I fell down to a level that I shouldn’t have… I try to live my life by the golden rule, that’s what I’ve always been taught. I try to treat people with common decency and respect, and I’m going to keep doing that moving forward, even though I fell short this week.”
Watch his apology below:
While attending that Penn State versus Ohio State college football game on Nov. 2 in State College, Pa., Jason Kelce had an unsightly run in with a Penn State fan.
While walking through a sea of people, bystanders filmed the former NFL star.
That’s how several cameras captured the hostile interaction Jason had with an unknown person.
Due to the nature of the audio, Mamas Uncut is sharing a version of the footages that is muted.
While walking, video captured the unknown person screaming at Jason about his brother Kansas City Chief star Travis Kelce and Travis’s girlfriend pop star Taylor Swift.
The person used a homophobic slur to describe Travis. “Kelce how does it feel that your brother is a f***** dating Taylor Swift,” the person is heard yelling.
It was in that moment Jason turned around, grabbed the phone out of the person’s hand and smashed it on the ground.
Jason has not yet issued a response on the matter.
