Model Kendall Jenner Gives Architectural Digest a Tour of Her Farmhouse Style LA Home

“Understated” and “Down-to-earth” may not be the first words that come to mind when thinking about the Kardashian/Jenner family, but as Kathleen and Tommy Clements revealed to Architectural Digest that’s how they would describe Kendall Jenner‘s style.

“Her taste was surprising, more bohemian and funky than the rest of her family. The mood she described was totally understated and down-to-earth,” Tommy admitted.

“Being who she is, we thought Kendall might gravitate toward something more flashy, more va-va-voom. I think we were all thrilled to discover that she has taste beyond her years,” Kathleen added.

And Waldo Fernandez, another member of the design team Kendall put together in order to create her dream home, said it’s apparent that the model really took in what she was experiencing during her world travels. “There are plenty of people we know who have traveled extensively and been exposed to so much but don’t absorb anything.”

“Kendall is different,” Fernandez continued. “She takes everything in and is confident about the things that resonate with her.”

So Let’s Take a Look at Some of the Most “Surprising” Parts of Kendall Jenner’s Home:

Peace and Calmness were at the top of Jenner’s list when collaborating with Kathleen, Tommy, and Waldo on the vibe of her home. And one looks at her courtyard and it’s easy to feel very relax when surrounded by her fountain and pool.

Interesting sink designs seem to run in the Kardashian/Jenner family. (See Kim Kardashian West‘s disappearing kitchen sink for reference.) In one of the first-floor powder rooms of Kendall’s home, one would find a 300-pound stone sink.

The movie-room turned art studio. Something you may not know about the highest-paid model in the world is that when she is feeling overwhelmed, she puts paint to paper to help her find her center. “I’m not good at painting, but I thoroughly enjoy it. I find it very therapeutic,” Kendall said.

The world understated comes into play when you see Jenner’s kitchen. Of course, it’s beautiful, but it does have quite the homey feeling to it. And as she revealed, it’s the most used room in the house.

Bright art surprisingly works very well with more farmhouse, earthy interior design. When Kendall admitted at the beginning of the video that she loved bright art, she wasn’t kidding.

A lot of Kendall’s decor is a nod to her family. Whether it be inspiration from her sister Kim or actual decor taken from her mom Kris Jenner’s home, Jenner says having her family represented throughout the home is really special for her.

She has a tea-nook in her bedroom. Hey, when you have a house this big, it beats walking to the kitchen every time you want a cup of tea.

Kendall also has a gold tub in her master bath, which could easily be seen as the boldest room in her entire home. Enough said.
